Should be a great heavy night with Remains of a Day, Heavy Artillery & Infinite Flying Kick as the competition!
Order of the bands is drawn on the night so get there early incase the boys are up first!

thanks heaps to those that came along to support us, much appreciated!
disappointing not to go thru as we playing what I thort was a wikkid show! but with all 4 bands playing really well it becomes difficult to judge whos best when the bands are all quite different. so i think given different judges any of the 4 bands could easily have won
on the plus side i did get to run out into the crowd and almost decapitate some random who foolishly decided to sit right up the front. wont be doing that again now will you…
and we got some great feedback from random punters which is always a good sign
all the best to remains of a day for the nationals. i still think they should of done some defekt tunes…
timmy…
libbilah timmy!

Gutted! You dudes put on a show man, you don’t just play on stage and move to the beat a bit, you go nuts & freak people out! It’s a performance rather than a band performing
Robed
Plain & simple!

thanks for the support dude, its wikkid. but like I said it could have gone to any of the bands and it just happened that the 4 judges we had on the night went with someone else.
its like trying to judge a really good painting of a bowl of fruit against a really good ‘modern art’ painting that could be anything. you cant really compare art thats of different styles when the quality is roughly the same, it just comes down to personal taste

I agree with Steve man. You guess should definitely have won, the playing was killer, the performance was killer, you guys are way more unique than any other bands playing. But than again maybe that counts against you in a competition that’s more about making some money then supporting new bands. Suck

If the bowl of fruit is good but looks like tonnes of other paintings of bowls of fruit and the modern painting is new and exciting it’s pretty easy to pick which is better out of the two.
If they’re both equally talented than why pick the one we’ve all seen before.
Because more people will immediately identify with something familiar, making it more workable as a revenue earner.
Until someone starts a non-profit competition for bands that’s purely about musical talent in all areas you guys will always be at a disadvantage for trying something new and interesting. Sad, but that’s the crap corporate world we live in.
