This is what Marq posted on the message board at clubbizarre.co.nz: "Ward 10 are the most exciting and highly refreshing new outfit in the weirdo/Metal/Electro crossover genre Ive witnessed in such a longtime. Imagine a bastard hybrid of KMFDM, Slipknot and perhaps Ministry and some 80s metal influences, throw some rather skillful cello playing and string together a seamless 45 minute stomping collection of technically proficient epic tracks that pound you in the head continuously then stop to let you take a breath before thumping you in the face yet again...! Something like that anyway. Excellent, they left me wanting more. [ I hate that!] Watch out for this new band, I feel theyre going to stir things up in this country...and thats in a very good way!" Well all I can say is my wrist will never be the smae again!!!

Here is the reveiw the was done for the G.U.N.Z forum board of the gig, Dont stone me if you didnt like my reveiw as it is my 1st attempt ok dudes.
"Well...........
The night went off very well, with a good turn out considering the other events that were on that night and being a friday earlyish gig, The Exchange was a 1st for us and possibly the only one due to a fair amount of difference between what was expected and what what was on the day, sadly no visuals were able to be done because of their being no video player (which we were told there was one) and bugger all lighting because we wernt told where to turn the damm things on and the bar staff didnt know where to point us, I could go on about the points lacking but wont because I dont want to ditract from what was a good gig,
1st up were Ward10, a crazy mix of driving guitars insaine drum machine beats and imposing lyrics and incredible bass playing, a very ambitious band which managed to pull it off realy well, they even got into the regional semi finals of battle of the bands but sadly no further (its all fixed any way!! lol), the most unuseual thing about Ward 10 is they have no real endings of songs its basicly a 45 minute song with a few interludes ( apparently due to what they used to write the drum tracks with and have run with it ) which give it a very unique sound and styling with good driving peices of music then slowing beats. Overall a very entertaining and a must see band which will evolve no doubt again into something bigger than what it is now ( god hellp us!! lol).
Next was Hog Haul Valentine, To say that I and others think this is one of his best performances would be an understatement, it was fucken fantastic!! with a very good sound through the P.A, stalking the crowd in his paceing circleing style an almost maniacle look in his eyes when he was playing with the pole, the deep dark brooding way of his lyrics and intence musical accompniment gives a virtual aural and visual painting the likes of the great art masters, a vertiable mix of all sences that take you with him on his journey, Definately , a very good set even with the lacking visuals and lighting which probibly would have sent most into overload never to be seen again.
Hmm now the tricky bit US ZSpyne. how does one review ones own band without sounding like a tosser!! lol,Any way the set whent well appart from a tecnical problem with the bass having gotten unplugged during the night, a tad perplexing for a short minute or so but resolved in time for the 2nd song, L Blacks singing mixed with the music gives dark undertones while the guitars run allong on their own frenetic pace and the bass rumbles in time with the drum machine give you a mix of sounds and feelings that are familiar and nice but some how disturbing at the same time, you are being taken on a ride to who knows where while L Blacks pacing and empassiond style give you something to focus on while the music carys you away, the way the whole band is put together is a seamless one, there is no one player or instument that runs the rest, it is an amalgamation of sounds blended to please the ears and it works well, the visual element is still in its development but will be in time something to realy watch and be entrtained with.
The DJ Arialis also made the crowds happy with her tunes and mixes with lots of requests granted and unreserved enthusiasim were great to see, and as her 1st gig she definately came through with flying colors, you better watch this one shes gona do it again most definately!!.
There will be other Banshee productions in the very near future I hope you all will be able to attend one. Our thanks to those that did and those that helped out you were great!.
Thanks for the memories Willow"

thanks for the wicked review ;D
(i hate to be one of those cunts who make a complement & then say but, so i'll say however instead.)
however i would like to just say that we did get further than regional semi finals, we got thru to the regional finals. however this is a small point & doesnt detrack from the wickedness of the review
sorry that i'm so anally retentive, but you know how i like the anal.......

Yes as I can see now, apparently the problem is with the geocities site my site is with, it has problems with shareing pics and stuff this isnt the 1st time I have had a problem with this so sorry dudes didnt mean to waste ya time or anyfink, anyway its easyer to grab them off my site for your own use than me trying to add them other places and them not work, fucken internet ..... grumble grumble.... glad you like the pics anyway, still havent managed to get the video footage we have on to a cd complete with sound, I can do it without sound at present because I have a cheep anolouge videocard as my camera is anolouge not digital but because its a cheepie and at the time I thought hay thats cool we'll just add the standard soundtrack mixed and everything for music video's in the future over the footage thats been cut and eddited ( grand palns!!) I dont need one with a working svideo plug!!!! famous last words I know but hey its life, so unless I run the video through the sound card seperately and try to sync in with the footage which I havent even tried to do yet as we havent managed to capture the bloody sound off the fucken thing at all!!! isone of the main reasons why no one has vcd's of this gig, one day it will be done just for now be safe in the knowledge the footage is safe and not going anywhere or getting wipped or nothing, after saying all this I can however dub it on to vcr tape but the sound quality suffers and the pic will degrade quite badly over time and after only a few successive dubbings, so its a trade off for now but the origional is there, if you want to get a vcr copy warts n all for now let me know and pass us a tape its not that long possibly about 1 .2/5hrs of all the bands but the battery ran out when we (zspyne) were playing so there is only about 4 songs there ( no great shame I hear some scream lol) but most of the others (ward 10 & Hog Haul) sets on the tape. Also if in the future you (ward 10) want to have a gig taped even if its just for posterity or to evaluate your performance ( they are good for that) let me know and flick us $20 for the camera tape and Ill do it for you, just a thought.

Ive heard before that geocities doesnt allow hotlinking of images (viewing them from a remote source). Its better to use something like www.angelfire.com as an image host ;D
